Northern Aesthetics Consulting, Inc. is referred to as “NACI” or “Company” and includes NACI shareholders, directors, officers, employees, and agents (collectively, referred to as “we”, “our”, or “us”.) “You” and “your” refer to any and any users and readers of this website, its links, information, and materials (“Site”), including any entity affiliated with you for whose benefit you are using the Website. This Privacy Policy applies to this Site, our other websites, and online products and services (collectively, “Sites”) and describes how we collect, use, disclose, store and process information when you use such Sites.

We are committed to respecting your privacy on our Sites. When we say “you” and “your”, we assume you are an adult because our Sites are intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect information about children under the age of 16. If there are instances of collecting such information, we will seek parental consent. What personal data we collect, why we collect it, and who we share it with

NACI has established and implemented this Privacy policy to inform you about our Sites and how we use and protect the information we collect from our Sites. We collect some personal and non-personal information.

What’s Personal Information? Good question. It’s info about an identified or identifiable natural person, e.g., identification number, physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural, or social identifiers, such as name, address, date of birth, gender, and contact data (i.e. e-mail address, telephone number, employer name, your business specialty, and your area of interest for medical and aesthetic treatments).

Non-personal Information is info that relates to you but doesn’t let us know your personal data and also can include information that could personally identify you in its original form but has since been modified, like by aggregating, anonymizing or de-identifying such information, in order to remove or hide any Personal Information.

When you provide your Personal Information to inquire, comment, and provide feedback, it’s important that we acknowledge and/or respond to you. We also use your Personal Information to provide you products and services, such as to fulfill your requests for products and communicate with you about them and future offerings.

In addition, the Personal Information helps us personalize our offerings to you, whether it’s our services, websites, social media platforms, marketing, or event planning. Personal Information helps orient us in the right direction.

The collection of Personal Information also supports our business functions, such as sales, marketing, fraud prevention, and legal functions, and improve the functionality, design, and features of our Sites. To do everything we just mentioned, we combine Personal and Non-personal Information, collected online and offline, including information from third parties.

Consent

NACI collects Personal Information about you in connection with many of our services. If you are interested in NACI or want more information about our services and/or products, you may complete the Contact form, which collects Personal Information such as your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and comment or interest. Additionally, if you’re a customer or employee of the Company, you may be prompted to make an account online to access materials and information, and such account may hold Personal Information such as your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, purchase history, and/or credit card information. Before we collect the information, NACI will obtain your consent. You may revoke consent at any point in time and, after confirming your intent, we will cease using and processing your data immediately. To revoke consent, write to [email protected] and specify your account details to be revoked.

By registering your information with NACI, unless subject to specific national legislation, you may occasionally receive promotional messaging or advertising. You may at any point opt-out of receiving this messaging by clicking on a link included in the footer of each message or writing to [email protected] to inform of the request to be excluded from future messages.

Find a Provider, Referral Programs, Blogs, Forums

Our Sites may include discussion forums, blogs, find-a-provider search function, and referral programs, which will collect Personal Information that must be submitted via a Contact Form and/or Comment field. Such Personal Information will be read, collected, or used by our personnel. The information may be used to provide a solicited and even unsolicited responses and may be seen by others who visit these forums/blogs and referrals.

Media

If you upload images to the Sites, you are giving us free license to use those images without compensation or any remuneration. You are responsible for the content of the images and their publication, and your submission means that you release NACI from liability for collecting and using the submitted images. You should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the Sites can download and extract any location data from images on the Sites.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the Sites, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

What you submit to us indirectly

Cookies

We may collect information about your use of our Sites through cookies (unique numeric codes that we transfer to your computer) and other similar technologies so that we can keep track of your interests and/or preferences and recognize you as a return visitor to the Sites. For example, we may use these technologies to collect information about the ways people use and browse our Sites, to support the features and functionality of our Sites, and to personalize your experience when you use our Sites.

Email communication

If you receive a marketing email from us, be aware that we use pixel tags and cookies in those emails so that we can track your interaction with those messages, such as when you open the email or click a URL link that’s embedded within them. When recipients click on one of those URLs, they pass through a separate web server before arriving at the destination page on a company website. We use tools like pixel tags and cookies so that we can determine interest in topics and measure and improve the effectiveness of our communications.

NACI uses your Personal Information to recommend products and services that might be of interest to you, to send you marketing and advertising messages such as newsletters, announcements, or special offers or to notify you about our upcoming events.

When you download or use our mobile-device applications, or access one of our mobile-optimized Sites, we may receive information about your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Our Sites may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These Sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that Site.

This is also true of the third-party social media features, such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter links, “Like” buttons, and other widgets, which may be included on our Sites. Other Sources

NACI may also collect information about you from other sources to help us correct or supplement our records, improve the quality or personalization of our services to you, and prevent or detect fraud.

For example, we may engage the services of third-party vendors to provide services and improve our Sites. In the process of supplying services to NACI, these third-party vendors may need to collect Personal Information about you. Another example is that we have co-branding and offerings may in concert with another company, such as a manufacturer or distributor. As such, NACI and the third party may receive the Personal Information that’s collected via that co-branded website or service to fulfill your request, respond to your interest, and improve our offerings.

More than cookies: Flash LSOs, Clear GIFs, and Log Files

We use Local Storage Objects (LSOs) such as HTML5 and Flash to store content information and preferences. We partner with third parties to provide certain features on our Sites or to display advertising based upon your browsing activity. Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing HTML5 LSOs.

Clear GIFs, sometimes called “web bugs” or “web beacons,” are small electronic images that are placed on a web page or in an email message. We use clear GIFs to monitor user behavior, deliver cookies, collect information, count visits, understand usage and campaign effectiveness, and to tell if a recipient has opened and acted upon an email.

Log files record website activity on our services and enable us to gather statistics about our users’ browsing habits. These entries help NACI determine (among other things) how many and how often users have accessed or used our services, which pages they’ve visited, and other similar data.

Ability to disable technologies and consequences

How we protect your data

NACI uses appropriate technical and physical safeguards to protect the security of your Personal Information from unauthorized disclosure. We use appropriate encryption technology to keep all information secure. We also make all attempts to ensure that only necessary people and third parties have access to Personal Information. We require that our third party service providers and channel partners agree to keep all confidential information we share with them and to use the information only to perform their obligations in the agreements we have in place with them. These third party service providers and channel partners are expected to maintain privacy and security protections that are consistent with NACI’s privacy and information security policies.

Nevertheless, such security measures cannot prevent all loss, misuse or alteration of Personal Information and we are not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to any such incidents to the fullest extent permitted by law. In the case of a data breach, we will notify you without delay of any loss, misuse or alteration of Personal Information that may affect you. We will notify relevant regulatory bodies promptly about the breach.

How long we retain your data

We retain your Personal and Non-personal Information that was submitted or collected, as well as its metadata, indefinitely, generally, as long as is necessary to provide you with information, products, and services. If you are a customer or user who registered for access into a portal of our Sites, we also store the submitted Personal Information in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their Personal Information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Sites’ administrators can also see and edit that information.

NACI will also retain your Personal Information as reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. We may also retain cached or archived copies of your information for a reasonable period of time. At any point in time, you can withdraw consent and we will immediately stop processing your data.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on our Sites, have submitted Personal Information via a Contact Form, upload, or other form, or have left comments, you can request to receive a statement about the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we change, correct, or erase any personal data we hold about you, except for data that we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. In some cases, we may limit or deny your request if the law permits or requires us to do so, infringes on the privacy of other individuals or internal procedures, or if we are unable to verify your identity. We will respond to your request to access within five business days.

Where we send your data

NACI will not rent or sell your Personal Information to others but may disclose Personal Information with third-party vendors and service providers that work with NACI. We will only share Personal Information to these vendors and service providers to help us provide a product or service to you.

NACI may share data within our affiliates for a variety of purposes, for example to provide you with the latest information about our products and services and offer you our latest promotions. Presently we do not have global operations, but where we might transfer personal data from your home country to other NACI locations across the world, we will only transfer data to countries who provide an “adequate” level of personal data protection. If the data is transferred to counties without ‘adequate’ protection as determined by the European Parliament, we will use additional safeguards to ensure your data is protected.

In cases of onward transfer to third parties of your Personal Information, the third party recipient that processes the Personal Information shall do so in a manner consistent with its own policies and principles and is potentially liable to you.

Merger or Sale of NACI business: In the event we merge or sell any part of our business, NACI may transfer Personal Information in connection with the sale.

Location of Data Processing/Storage

This website is intended for US residents as NACI limits its sales to the United States. Our Sites are hosted in the United States. Any personal information collected via our Sites is processed in the United States by NACI or by a third party acting on our behalf. When you provide personal information to NACI, you consent to the processing of your information in the United States.

Applicable Regulations – California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users of our website that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
